The International Tunnelling Awards will be presented in Canada this year and TAC member firms are encouraged to enter to be sure Canada is well represented in the winner’s circle. 2011 TAC Scholarships
We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2011 TAC scholarships.
Martin Blazejowski of the University of Western Ontario has been awarded the Eisenstein Scholarship. The award includes a $5,000 scholarship plus travel, accommodation and registration to attend the 2012 Canadian Tunnelling Conference. Martin is pursuing a Master's degree; his research is on the performance of steel fibre reinforced shotcrete.
Eric Liu of Ryerson University is recipient of the $1,000 Undergraduate Student Award. His undergraduate thesis topic deals with planning of transit tunnels.
