Canadian Innovation Initiative Award

The Tunnelling Association of Canada presents the Canadian Innovation Initiative of the Year Award to a person or team who has significantly contributed to a Canadian Innovation Initiative that has demonstrated the highest level of engineering service & skill in any of the following: research in engineering product design, product development, technological ideas, patent designs, mechanical engineering concepts, or geotechnical design.

The award will be presented to all team members (e.g. Owner, Tunnel Designer, Shaft Designer, Design Build Contractor, Tunnel Contractor) at the same level of involvement (contract value and/or scope) who significantly contributed to the project. All team members must be aware and support the nomination by providing an email indicating their consent, to be uploaded with the nomination.

The individual and/or company who has submitted the nomination form is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their nomination and that all team members (same level of involvement) are listed on the nomination form (separate pages may be included). Additional costs for amending the award video or awards once completed, due to any oversight or errors made by the individual and/or company who submitted the nomination form, will be at their own expense. TAC will make the award videos available to TAC Corporate Members for use in their own internal promotion.
